Kerry James Marshall: Mastry Exhibition at The Met Breuer

I look at a lot of art online daily and constantly discover amazing artists whose work was unfamiliar to me previously. One of such discoveries just few weeks ago was Kerry James Marshall.

As a painter myself I was instantly drawn to his large scale colorful paintings and use of pattern, geometric shapes and decorative elements in particular.

I was looking into buying his most recent book and was trying to find images of the book online to see if the reproductions were large enough.

To my great surprise I learned that the exhibition is currently taking place in NYC at The Met Breuer and I was definitely not going to miss it! The exhibition lived up to my expectations and inspired me to keep improving my art.
