Cuba Trip: Part 2 - Havana - Old Havana

On the second day of our visit we went exploring Old Havana / La Habana Vieja. This area is in better shape than Central Havana, some parts are completely renovated. There are significantly more tourists on the streets and plazas sightseeing, having their meals in numerous restaurants, enjoying live cuban and salsa music which could be heard everywhere.

Lovely Old Square / Plaza Vieja where we enjoyed coffee with ice-cream at Cafe El Escorial

Palacio de los Capitanes

Convent of San Francisco de Asis

Talking to our guide Analay

Obispo street popular with tourists

A glimpse of workers in some sewing factory that we saw right on Obispo street

San-Jose bakery on Obispo street was crowded with locals

Inside the bakery

Walking in Old Havana

Old cars are everywhere

Very often these old cars need repairing

There are also bicycle taxis although we never tried one

Fruit and vegetable market

Fruit and vegetable carts are also everywhere

Every vendor had onions

Always checking our location with Havana map app

My "Old Havana Street" painting was inspired by the colorful buildings on Lamparilla street in Old Havana
